Update: Commercial real estate and the economy

We hope this email finds you and your family well.  We wanted to give you resources to ponder over the President’s Day holiday weekend. In case you missed my 15 seconds of fame, here is a recent interview I gave to KITV News regarding the state of the industrial market on Oahu.

Commercial real estate and the economy

  1. CCIM's 2024 Commercial Real Estate Forecast Webinar.

  2. A BISNOW article discussing the propensity for higher interest rates for longer

  3. A Walker and Dunlop webinar discussing predictions for this year’s US presidential election.

  4. Colliers Q4 2023 US Industrial Market Outlook

  5. A Colliers webinar discussing near-shoring in the US and an evolving supply chain

  6. Lee and Associates Q4 2023 economic reports for multiple specialties

We look forward to discussing these with you.

We will soon release our Q4 2023 Hawaii Investment Market Report.  Here is a snapshot of transaction counts and dollar volume over the past 12 years.  You can see a material decline from 2022 to 2023 in both transaction counts and dollar volume.

Julia is doing her best to weather the storm of high interest rates and construction costs.

I have made my entire career about helping my clients Think Like A Professional Owner.  All of my advice, education and passion is built around helping my clients make professional and informed decisions and not forgetting that little things matter in commercial real estate.

I hope you give me the opportunity to assist you or anyone you know in the future.

Aloha,

Bill
